MsPercoset, Your answer reminds me of the vision of Christ the police officer had when He was in the rubble of the fallen world trade center (movie). Jesus had a water bottle. He is the source of living water. That was letting him know he was God's friend.

Yeah, it's in scripture. Jesus said, "you are no longer slaves, you are my friends".

That's why God got mad in the first place. He created Earth and gave everything he had to us, and all he asked is that we give him love, and love each other. Instead we said F him and F you too.

Then he sent Jesus so that we could befriend him. Someone like us, that we could understand. Like us in human form that is. Who shared the same flesh, who suffered with the same torments of life on this Earth. Jesus had the same temptations we had. However, he did not give in.

Imagine if all the soldiers fighting all over the world suddenly realized the other side is really my brother/sister. My family. We are all one blood. We refused to fight and kill each other. Wow.

You might say I'm a dreamer....

For those born of the Spirit into His family, God is closer than a brother. We are also fully accepted in the Beloved (Jesus). He is the best Friend anyone could have, since the evidence of the greatest friendship is when one gives His life for his friend.

Yes. It was actually quite a moving expereince and it's funny because he spoke to me through the drive-through speaker at Jack-In-The Box. I was about to order a double cheeseburger, onion rings and a large orange drink when Jesus' voice suddenly emitted like beautiful music from the crackly speaker. He told me that He loved me and to please repeat my order.

Funny huh? Some people get a burning bush and I get "do you want fries with that" but it was still the most incredible thing. Praise Jesus.
