If guys like to date girls that are confident and happy all the time, then how come all the women I know that have depression or some other type of emotional disorder have boyfriends/husbands?? It makes me want to shove what people tell me about self-confidence being so important to guys into a hole. They must be lying because like I said, I know plenty of women that get dates and they are not happy with themselves.

Much more important is what kind of guy do YOU like?
Make sure you put yourself in situations where you will have more contact with the type of guys you like. Don't waste another second of your time worrying about what kind of girls guys like because the answer will be a million different things...PLUS, it's not your problem what they want!

I am a happy, self-confident woman. I understand what you are saying. I too see women who have anger problems with bf's and husbands while I have none. It really hurts to be alone. One thing I keep telling myself is this - what kind of men are those women really with? How do those men treat them? Maybe that's why the women are angry all the time. Maybe their men are having affairs or something. At least thoughts like those can help ease the pain of being alone (sometimes).

People without self confidence may end up settling for whom ever comes along. They are scared not to have a bf or husband so they will settle for whoever will take them. People who have self confidence want to find the one that completes them. They may take longer to find. It is about quality not quantity dear.

because the vast majority of men like to believe that they are rescuing the women that they are involved with. the ones with emotional disorders and depression are easy targets for men of this nature. i dont mean to generalize, because i am in no way one of these men, but that's the accepted interpretation of such behavior. i, on the other hand, love a confident woman, and she loves me too.
