I had my hair dyed really dark brown a couple weeks ago (almost black really) and now it is getting a reddish tint to it. The only thing is for like 3-4 days after i dyed it, it was reallly shiny. Can i get the results i want without the extra shine?

Unless you dye your hair with a black dye - I doubt you would get any result without the shine - if your hair is shiny - that makes your hair look healthy! People would KILL to have shiny hair like yours ;) Enjoy it! Let people be jealous of you:) :)

Ok seriously if you don't want the shine - Try using the dark henna (not the kind that makes your hair red - but try and see if they have brown henna or black henna - the results are extremely bold and there is ultimately no shine but it might be harder to get out if you change your mind)

just don't use men's hair dye. Some of them contain metallic salts that sit in the hair shaft.... fine... until you want to go back to non-metallic dyes. Then it will make your hair gummy and break off. Stick with something safe that you used before. Remember that a semi permanent color becomes permanent after three times use, so don't over do it unless that is what you want.
