You are so right. Jesus did not create hell. His Father did though. If you want to start an argument, be sure of your facts before you start.

No, this isn't right. Hell was known about in the old testament...before Jesus, in case you don't know what I mean. And Jesus didn't preach only love.
You need to do some reading if you are going to sound like an intelligent asker.

Hell is an eternal state of existence in complete absence of God. It's not a "teaching" but a real state of existence. If you do not love one another, you're living in an existence away from God, and will spend eternity in the abscence of God. Even if you're duped into it by believing the atheist and agnostic rhetoric that "there is no heaven and hell, there is no God," you're still going to exist in a state apart from God. He didn't create it, the beings that turned away from God did by choosing to exist apart from Him. And yes, Jesus spoke extensively about Hell. Crack open that Bible sitting on your shelf once in a while. It'll only make that new book noise a few times, I promise.

Hell wasnt created for people. It was created for demons, people go there because unless they depend on christ for their salvation they are property of satan per the fall in the garden of eden when adam handed over his rights to the earth.
Religion used it as a way to control weak christians into feeling guilty and enslaved to the idea that they must some how find a magical way to please God or he might send them to hell.

***Why do People blame Jesus for creating the doctrine of hell as eternal torture for those with the wrong faith? ***
Because it is very profitable and it makes folks feel good.

To my knowledge, there is NO written word by Jesus anywhere. All that you read was written by others...whether any of it is true or not is up for grabs. All who wrote certainly had agendae...to get fed by the masses, while doing as little as possible to earn the food.

No, he did not.....It is my opinion that Christianity has mistaken the concept of Hell.....I believe what Christ was making a comparison of the hateful religious attitude of the religious leaders and likening that nastiness to the chaff of wheat...You burn up the chaff when you are harvesting the wheat.
They will have to go through serious hard times (Hell) to be humble enough to give it up....So, therefore the tables are actually turned on them....
