BLACKS, why do some of you got to be so hateful?

Question

Everything works to the good for those that love God. It sucks
the way your people came to the U.S. But God has brought all
the peoples of the World together here for a reason. And now
you have opportunities like you wouldn't have had.
Blacks have cause to be angry. But you got to channel that
angry energy into something positive. Because all that hatefulness
and self-destructiveness ain't gettin' it!
Black men and women got to stop taking it out on each other.
Slowly but surely. We in the United States are learning, that
folks is folks.

I am not sure if my answer will do any good or not but I will try... I think that first you need to rephrase your question to include all people. Every race has people that feel they are owed something. You have white people that think that they are owed just because they are white and you have black people that believe that they are owed because of past events and you have asian people that believe that they are owed because they seem to have a better grasp on education and you have handicapped people that think that they are owed because they are handicapped. I am not saying that there are not a select few that are right but I am saying that by constantly pointing out a problem with one race of people without looking at all races is stereotypical in itself. Everyone has problems regardless of who you are and everyone feels that in some point in their life they have been wronged. I agree that some people (of all races) squander opportunities that are given to them and some do not. I understand what you are saying but I think that the question here should be why do people within all races not take advatage of the opportunities that they are given. I think that would be a better question.

I can say that there is a lingering bitterness in some blacks that say they believe in forgive but never forget, but that can be said easily in theory and acted out with more difficulty. Imagine I killed your grandfather, raped your grandmother, hung your wife, and sold your children on the black market after kidnapping them from your house in the middle of the night. Imagine you knowing that I did all this and could even prove it, but when you went to the court for justice, you didn't get it because the judge was black and hated white boys from Evansville, IN. You now hate me and you don't trust the legal system and the goverment that supports it. You remarry and have more children, and you teach them...what? This isn't an excuse for being bitter by any means. True Christains don't have a color, we have a mission and that mission is larger than squabbles over the skin we are wrapped in or who did what to this person's ancestor. Those blacks that don't see that are unfortunately lost, temporarily, and pointing our fingers at them to scold them isn't going to bring them back any sooner. However, not all of us are like that. I am happily married to a beautiful white woman and I am not afriad to go through the blackest neighborhood with her on my arm. If anything, I hope that those unforgiving spirits of a dwindling way of thinking you have apparently come in contact with don't rub their negativity off on you and you remain a example of forgiveness and understanding like the model Jesus left us.

I think you need to stop and take a look around. Look back through history and see that in the last 500 years the most evil, sadistic, violent acts have been perpetrated by white catholics. hitler, mussolini, george w. and george h.w. bush. let's not forget that for three hundred years great britian held half the world at the end of their sword. and by the way, more people have died in the name of some god than every other cause of death COMBINED. so next time you think about judging a race or creed or color, take a look in the mirror first.

I agree in principle, but white America is as racist as ever and blacks do not get close to the same shots at life as most whites!

The Republicans go after every program that might help blacks, including Affirmative Action, but they don't go after all the Affirmative Action the rich whites get at college. They are automatically admitted irrespective of their grades or scores! They call one reverse discrimination! I wonder what the call the other? Sure any American with a 1.8 GPA from Yale is going to be admitted to Harvard Graduate School of Business, like George Bush!!! Harvard turns people away with 4.0 GPA's!

Face it, those currently in power hate everyone who isn't a WASP, and they claim to be Christian! That is a joke, they really want to be God!
