I have 3 girls & 1 boy. I like uncommon names. My kids' names are:

Alexandria Elizabeth - 6
Clayton Daniel - 4
Dannicka Cheayne - 2
Erynn Marie - 1

There are lots of baby name sites that are really good. Try babynames.com, babynameindex.com, babynameaddicts.com, babyzone.com, americanbaby.com.
Good luck & congrats.

Well when I chose names for my children I had to choose names that had a great meaning. I think it's really important to choose them carefully. I have a boy called Isaac and this means laughter( and he definetly has the gift of making people laugh even when he's in trouble!) Or Reuben which means Son of my right hand(he's a sensitive child and very loyal and supportive of others) For a girl I chose Iona which is a scottish island but we actually called her this after a celtic band called Iona great music too!(She's wild and carefree). Joshua which means Saviour and he's the eldest and so holds a responsibility without trying and tries to keep things together with his brothers and sister. Hope this helps!!

There are baby name books. I would name by boy or girl names that are not too old fashion like Bertha, or names before the late 60's. But, when naming a child it is o.k. to like the meaning. The American Indians named their baby after tie first thing they saw after giving birth. Just don't name him Doc.

It depends on what type of names you are considering. Have you narrowed it down to common names? Are you open to naming your boy or girl an uncommon name? Do you want your baby's name to stand out or to blend in? Also, you might want to take demographics into consideration when naming a baby. If I knew what sort of name you were looking I could answer this question better.

There are many schools of thought associated with what you name your child.

The simple fact is, if your child has a different or unique name, they face ridicule and abuse from other kids as they go through the formative years. BUT the child will also have a strong and unique name when they are older and will enjoy said, so I think.

SO I will NOT name my child John or Mary. They will have a very unique name that will stand out in a crowd.

I think that easy names are the best

Boys: Sam, Tom, Jack, Harry, Ben

Girls: Molly, Rosie, Annie, Meg

Whatever you decide will suit the baby - you will see. All the best for a good pregnancy, birth to a healthly baby.

i just found out that i am pregnant 4 days ago (yeah!). we have been looking at books for MONTHS though. now that we are PRETTY SURE about the girl and boy names the doctor suspects we may have twins! (we were going through IUI and had 3 eggs and now beta scores are CRAZY high).

WOW... now that i've told you my life story :) i'll answer your question

BOY NAME: Drake Elsworth (first and middle name)
Girl Name: Reese Anne (no middle name, two first names)

drake and elsworth are family names... as is Anne. reese... we think it has class and sounds trendy... but according to the 2005 social security list it was NOT an overly popular name used... i was looking for trendy but i didn't want every other kid her age to have the same name.
