Why does no one, other than catholics, get the stigmata?
(for those of you who don't know, Stigmata is when someone shows the "wounds of christ" by having thier palms bleed (even though it's been shown definitively that no one was ever crucified by the palms, the flesh would simply rip free) or having thier heads bleed (the wounds of the crown of thorns)
So, why do only catholics get these "wounds"? Wouldn't all denominations get them?
Of course, the fact is this is another example of Pious Fraud. Even the great Padre Pio was a notorious fraud, but that did'nt stop the catholic church from making him a saint huh? After all, that's what brings in the saps right? And when the sheep crowd the pews, the collection plate is full.
Beginning to see the reason yet?

Liet..
Padre Pio was a fraud and a shyster of the tallest order.
The fact that the vatican chose to ignore the reports of it's on investigations of the man only mean one thing;
they knew that his sainthood would bring thousands, if not tens of thousands to his old church.
And that many idiots only means one thing to the church, Do you know what that is? I'll give you a hint, it starts with M and ends in ONEY and sounds like "ching! ching!"
Need more hints you brainless moron?

Wow zorro,
you are actually gullible enough to believe this crap. Did you know that not ONE single case of stigmata has ever been proven to be anything other than a hoax or self inflicted wounds?
But go ahead and keep your head firmly planted in your rectal cavity. I guess it's warm and familiar in there...

--Is Catholic--
Yes. And shame on you for lying about a very holy man who actually hid his stigmata from people.
On 22 October 1918, in a letter to his spiritual advisor, Padre Benedetto, Pio wrote
"Dear Father, I am dying of pain because of the wounds and the resulting embarrassment I feel in my soul. I am afraid I shall bleed to death if the Lord does not hear my heartfelt supplication to relieve me of this condition. Will Jesus, who is so good, grant me this grace? Will he at least free me from the embarrassment caused by these outward signs? I will raise my voice and will not stop imploring him until in his mercy he takes away, not the wound or the pain, which is impossible since I wish to be inebriated with pain, but these outward signs which cause me such embarrassment and unbearable humiliation" (Letters 1, No. 511).
Have you ever considered that perhaps Protestants don't get stigmata is because they are not Catholic? Perhaps the reason why there is because they are not of the same spirit as Catholics. Mystical phenomena is very interesting and I suggest that you study it instead of making things up. If you understood Catholic spirituality and mysticism, you would understand why God would grant something like stigmata.

Yes, we do. It's a phenomenon that you atheist ppl cannot stand and that's why you want to disprove it , because these are tangible signs of God's exsictence and of the truth of the catholic faith.
It's been known through all of church history and in the lives of the saints.
Surely there are some frauds but I know that the Church exposes those frauds very quickly, and the Church is much stricter in applying science than you think, they even have nonbelievers on the boards.
So you're just angry, as can be seen in your writing.

Man, if you're really serious about this, I"d have to say "Hear this!"
There is a movie you can rent at the local Movie Shop named "Stigmata" They may have to order it, it's about 6 years old but it will answer all that you ask. It's about a girl of no particular faith that succumbed to this Stigmata and how it is dealt with. It's fiction of course, but it's a pretty good movie (B+). As for me, yeah, the power of God is awsome. It can happen, just like an exorcism. Never think for a moment in this world "That's impossible, that could never happen." Never say "NEVER"

I'm not Catholic (not even Christian), but I think the occurrence of stigmata is interesting. I don't believe in the things that the believers think bring it on, but I do think that belief can be so strong, it can create things in the believer. Sort of like psychosomatic illness, only in a 'divine' sense.

I'm not a Roman Catholic and would not put my faith in any stigmata. However, I would believe that the manifestation may be physical and observable, the cause behind it questionable, but more than a myth.

i think stigmata is fake, especially since people always get it on their palms, and if you nailed someone to the cross the palms would probably not hold the weight. he would have been nailed just below the wrist, which is not as cool as bleeding from the palms, bleeding from the wrists looks like a suicide attempt instead of looking like you are the chosen one.

Non-catholics DO receive Stigmata. Therefore, your entire statement is bunk. Sorry, you really need to do your homework better.
