That Jesus walked on water is an assertion, or an observation if you believed it was recorded by eyewitnesses. The Theory would explain how he did it. Very similar to evolution....hmmm...

its not a theory but one of the many miracles Jesus did while He was here on earth you seem to forget that peter when Jesus called to him out in the boat from theshore peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus when he looked away peter sank into the water

It is an unexplainable miracle. I heard a theory that there were flash frozen areas on the lake that he walked on but I don't really buy into that. There is no way to prove exactly how Jesus walked on water. I believe he was actually walking on water, not ice, since he did have eye witnesses. Also, the Bible says it was water and I believe the Bible is true.

Good question
I suppose that if you believe he did than - he must have...
I beleive that time & space are a continum & that people can exist on multiple levels. Metaphysics states that - if you truely believe in something - than it can be true - if jesus beleived that he could walk on water - than maybe he could.

Maybe walking on water is a metaphor that suggests jesus was on a "higher" spiritual plane.

In any case & whatever you believe - the theory of quantum mechanics can apply to this question.

If i want to walk on water - the ability to do so is there - altough the probability of it happening is very low & statiscally speaking is damn near imposible - but the possibility is there.

I believe in the theory that people not only Jesus can walk on water. But what this has to do with moral disciplines and spirituality. Only the spiritually attained can do that kinds of stuff. It is called supernatural power. And remember that the demon can also do that. So watch for false claim of holiness.

Still at it, aren't you. Yes, I do believe Jesus walked on the water, and so did Peter for awhile. He also fed the five thousand with five fishes and two loaves of bread, and had twelve baskets of food left over. He also raise his friend Lazarus from the grave. He cured the sick, healed the lame, cast out demons, made the blind see and was crucified, buried, and rose on the third day. That is what I believe. My bible tells me this, so I don't buy into your idiotic theories.

The truth is it is not a theory. It is history. Jesus walked on water. It shows that he had control over matter and time just like when he turned the water into wine. He is omnipotent.

It is recorded in the Talmud [Sanhedrin] that he did walk on water. That's what people who were not only there, but that hated Him said.

It would be easy for them to deny it if it were not true, don't you think? Instead, they said he used a magic name from the Temple that he sewed into His leg to do this miracle.

The testimony of hostile witness to this is good evidence.

It isn't a theory it a biblical story. There is no way to test it, no evidence nothing but faith to back it up.
Theory:
A set of statements or principles devised to explain a group of facts or phenomena, especially one that has been repeatedly tested or is widely accepted and can be used to make predictions about natural phenomena.
