I've asked this question before but I'm hopeing to get some more opinions. I have a layover in LAX and I've read that you can get on free but I've also read you have to pay. Does anyone have any recent experience in recent weeks? I'll be using my laptop and don't want to pay? Any special hot spots you found? I'm looking for a free connection.

I use the spot right out at end of United Terminal 7. That is the basic commuter terminal. It is free, good strong signal.

Not sure about areas around Terminals 1 2 3 any more. I fly United couple times a month, often for that very reason free Internet.
It is only out at end of Terminal 7 where I get a good signal.

Yes. I didn't pay. I found some business's wireless Internet. And used it.

i was in the ata terminal and they had internet you could use there (u have to pay)... but in united i never have a prob
