When I am in the shower, my cat, Lucy, (yes, off the I Love Lucy Show, and we do have Ethel too. LOL)will lay in the sink. Do cats do that or is Lucy just plain strange?

My cat likes to lay in the sink too and the bathtub. It is perfectly normal.

Nope normal. My cat does the same thing. He lays in the sink a good part of the day... and when you walk by he will coo at you and want you to turn on the water so he can get a drink. My cat will not drink out of water dish... only fresh running water for him.
I suspect he likes to lay in the sink because it is cool.

Perfectly normal. I have 5 cats, 2 of them like to fight over the spot in the sink. Another one likes to get in the shower and chase the water droplets running down my legs, which really kinda hurts.

I've had several cats that like to lay in the sink, it's cool and also very similar to a box, which, as you surely know, is also attractive to cats. No, she is not strange!

my 5 month old male kitten T.J does that even when I'm not in the shower. mostly, he follows me into the bathroom and then jumps up on to the sink. i have to turn the faucet on so he can play with the water!!! LOL!! he absolutly luvvvvvvvvvs water for some reason!! go figure!! I figure that your cat is just like mine she wants to be where you are at ALL times. they're cats are very curious creatures. she's not strange at all!! HIH!! Good Luck!!!

i have no idea if thats normal but its sure not weird. I had a cat that would sit inbetween the shower curtain and the shower liner when i would take a shower. I just figured he was a momma's boy :) I think some cats just have funny quirks like anything else.

lol... well, if it's not normal than there's a problem with my two cats as well. they also LOVE to sleep in the bathtub. I'm not sure, maybe the sink and tubs (since they are porcelin...i think) are cool surfaces and so they may feel nice to the kitties...
but I have no idea!! lol... aren't cats just wonderful??

The others are right.
Cats just LOVE to lay in the sink and or tub. And to drink the water. Great stuff for them, at least THEY think so!
One night, my husband was filling a bucket of water. One of our younger cats was intensely watching the water as it ran; I happened to walk in just as it began to overflow. What a look of shock on her face! :-)

Yes, cats seem to be intrigued with sinks and bathtubs. Mine loves to play in the tub as long as there is no water in it.

Thats pretty normal, also if your sink happens to drip a little, cats LOVE to get fresh water out of the faucet...at least my guy does...
