I have been wearing my sister's contact lens her eye doctor had prescribed to her, so far my eyes are still okay. The contact lens is 1.0 diopter and I wear 100 degree eye glasses my doctor prescribed to me, a little research came up that 1.0 diopter equals 100 degrees (most asian countries refer diopter as degree). So I'm just wondering if it's okay to wear her soft contact lens as long as we have the same diopter. There are also measurements of a contact lens such as its diameter and base. Should I care about these measurements?

Edit:: I'm not wearing the ones she wore, I wear the unopened, brand new one she has bought.

i wear soft contact lens and my eye Doctor told me never to wear some one else contacts. you could make your eyes worse than they are now . call her eye doctor or have her call and ask the doctor if it o.k. Never take chances with your eyes.

It would be better to wear ones that are prescribed to you. Never wear hers if they've been in her eyes.
