Cirrhosis is a fancy word for scarring.
The tissue cannot be rehabilitated.

depending on what is causing the cirrhosis, or the grade of liver damage (cirhosis stages are 3's and 4's) I could not answer.
if i had more info, i could probably give you a better answer, but technically, if your in the latest of stages concerning cirrhosis, chances are the only thing would be liver transplant.
Not sure if a live donor could donate a section of the liver to you with a good outcome either, or don't know if that is possible.
things you can do: cut out all sources of IRON-no red meats, no vitamins and certain greens (spinach, brussel sprouts)
Drink clear liquids and NO alcohol...I wouldn't even consider putting rubbing alchohol on my skin if I had cirrhosis.
Hugs to you! If you need an ear, holler!

Sorry to say that once something starts to "petrify" theres no reversing that. I'm sorry to hear that you are going through that. I am waiting for that with my brother.
Hope you move up the donor list quickly.
Good Luck and Hopefully Better Health!!!
