"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2nd Timothy 3:16-17). The Greek word for Gid-breathed is the world theopnuestos. It literally means "God-breathed." That one verse should be all the proof we need.
There are clear reasons why we can believe in the authority of the Bible. A study of the fulfilled prophecies of the Bible alone would undeniably confirm the fact that it was divinely inspired and that only God could have brought about the fulfillment of so many prophecies in the proper time to the proper person and in the proper sequence. Jesus Himself used the Scriptures as the authoritative Word of God (Matthew 4:4-10) and declared that their authority could not be broken (John 10:35).

The more one studies the Scriptures, the more one becomes aware of the fact that the Bible passes every test that can be applied to it in order to evaluate its divine inspiration, authority, and inerrancy. We also know that the Bible is God's Word because of the transformation we have seen it make in the lives of those who read, believe, and live by its teaching. It is God's own Word, His saving truth which He has spoken to mankind. It is inspired from beginning to end, and it is the only infallible guide of faith and practice—read 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Peter 1:19-21.

There's a verse in Timothy II that pronounces all scripture as "God breathed". Paul was referring to the old testament scripture but it has been traditionally applied to the entire Bible.
