what do muslim men really think of western women?

i hope this question doesnt offend muslim men, but i really think its about time we started to understand each other a bit more and find out about each others views, rather than read media spin. I live in a multi racial area and speak to muslim men and women at the school etc but its not the sort of thing you would ask .

They think all women are trash, to do with as they wish; to hack to pieces if they dishonour the family. I've seen grown women locked in terrible conditions, some have burned to death while locked in houses .... IN BRITAIN!

My friend has just started dating a muslim guy and i was/am a bit worried for her because of all the bad stuff i have heard, guess that was ignorance on my part as some people have said here it is just that we are not educated enough on other religions that we become judgemental. I do believe there is good and bad everywhere and we can't typically tar all with the same brush, sure some muslims may think western women are whores just as others may treat them like a queen. I guess it comes down to not race or religion but how you are raised as to how you behave.

I surprised at some of the above answers. I am a muslim male and i do not view a western women any different than say asian women. I have had english girlfriend and they are a great company i would have them as a wife,and they have made good wife to afew muslim friends i know. Can i say something? Different culttures does not mean one is good and one is bad.

I'm afraid they think any non Muslim women are regarded as whores. Not for marrying just an easy lay (I am sure they do not all feel this way but it is how the orthodox Muslim Cleric would teach their young men)
Muslim single women do not always have a say on what they feel as marriages are usually arranged for them.

Yes, men in the west do treat women better than Muslim men treat them. That's actually false, more rapes are *reported* in the west. In Muslims countries a woman can be stoned for being raped so why would she come forward? She can't win anything against a man in court anyways. There is no doubt that more rapes happen in the Middle East than in the west.

hi i just read your message, my husband is muslim and i am a western woman, i can only speak for my self but i personally dont think muslim men have a problem with western women, i think most of the problem is that we do not understand the muslim culture enough, the media also does not help the matter

i wouldnt say that im a man yet but i reckon you could use my view, i see western women in the same way that i see muslim women, i actually know many "western" women who are muslims. if i were to see a woman not in traditional muslim dress i wouldnt think she is a whore or a infidel she's just not a muslim, in the same way that a man who raises his hand to his wife ot any woman is not a muslim. many people have a distoted view of muslims and because its only the bad stuff that anyone talks about. by the way the honour kilings are strictly forbidden by the qu'ran they are fom the twisted traditions of peoples home countries.

If you interact with multi-faith, multi-cultural people in your own area...... what do YOU think THEY think? For the most part, and I include all men regardless of race, nationality or religion, men think of women of other cultures in the same way as they do women of their own culture. Certain PEOPLE are racist, certain PEOPLE are bigoted, but you cannot tie a bow around one group and say, "This is how these people think about western women"
An awful lot of Christian men think all women are whores. An awful lot of Muslim men revere women of all faiths as fragile flowers to be cared for and nurtured. (And vice-versa)

What does it matter? As Dale Carnegie (I think) once said, "What you think of me is none of my business."

If someone smiles and says "hello" to you, they are probably passing the time of day as a polite member of the human race, and rarely are they thinking you will be going home to take part in an orgy with multiple anonymous partners.

People are different, it's a good thing. :o)

FYI many western women are Muslim. Neither can one man speak for all. You find some of those who have respect for all type of women, some who only have respect for Muslim women, some who only have respect for western women, some who have no respect for women no matter what she is. My father and big brother belong to the "respecting all women" catagory.

As a Muslim woman, I learned a respectful man is a respectful man Muslim or Non and a pig is a pig no matter what their beliefs are.

My wife is a Muslim white western woman. Like many others. A lot of western women are turning to Islam because they are used, abused and exploited for their bodies by western men and culture.

I don't think that muslim men have respect for any women full stop. They are extremely sexist and treat their wives like dirt, so if they're like that with their own spouses I don't think they'll have a very high opinion of western women.
