Be honest, most guys would be flattered even if they didn't want to go further with the relationship. Let him know that your friendship is important and you don't want to lose it. But if you even feel the slightest bit that he is not into you, like you are him, stop and keep the relationship where it is.
PS. sex will end a friendship at light-speed

In my experience you shouldnt have to tell a guy that you really like him, if you both like eachother things will just kind of happen and discussing it isnt really necessary. You may be setting yourself up to be hurt if you tell him you like him, what if he doesnt like you in the same way and he then begins to feel uncomfortable around you, then you may lose the friendship and you obviously dont want that, I say if you like him and he likes you to just let things happen and go from there.

depends how well you know him and how he'll react.. dont say anything if there is any doubt that he feels the same way or you could scare him off. or if you know him really well, and know he wont be scared off and will be mature about it then tell him - as you never know what will happen. if he's a true friend then he'll help you through your feelings for him..

I hate to tell you don't do it, guys don't like to hear this unless they feel already in love with you.
They actually feel guilty. Be patient If he feels the same way he will let you know. Sometimes is better to keep him as your friend than totally lost him.

My husband started out as my best friend....and he is still my best friend even though we are married and have kids....you have to start out as friends first then go onto being together.....it makes for a much better relationship......take it from a woman who has been married for 20 yrs....its better this way
