Why do you care?

Why do you care if other races besides white are gaining more power? They are still the minority, still being judged and treated negatively. I understand this is the United States of America, but it is NOT a WHITE country. There are many, many people BORN here who are Spanish, Indian, Black, Native American, Jewish, Asian, etc.

Just because some other ethnic groups are catching up economically it does not mean they are 'taking over' and who cares if they are soon becoming the majority in SOME cities? Seriously, whats it you?

We are not talking about immigrants legal, or illegal. I only put this in the immigration section because I've read many 'questions' asked by people in this section who are "worried" that other races are taking over.

My "problem" is that growing up as Hispanic American who was born in this country I am still seen as an inferior being even though I have them economic status, same rights, everything. Thats my problem.

We don't care about races, etc...... This is not a race issue, it is an ILLEGAL ISSUE!!

You only say it's a race issue because 75% of America doesn't want you here.. But do you know why we don't want you here?

It's not my fault-- if you don't like to clean. You never had to come here in the first place-- we didn't ask you to. We didn't ship you to this country for slave labor. The illegals are volunteering for it. There is a difference. Unfortunately, we have too many volunteers, and you'll have to report back to your country in due time.

Like I said, this has nothing to do with "ethnicity." What it does have to do with however, is legality, and the law. If we are going to continue to succeed as a nation, we need to set rules-- this entails laws.. Laws provide a standard, and to live comfortably; and secure, we as a whole-- NOT JUST WHITE PEOPLE-- need to uphold those standards by enforcing the law.

It isn't about "power". If it was about power then I am sure you would have heard people "up in arms" about Secretary Rice being appointed Secretary of State, The only person i have ever seen that didn't support her was that chalupamama or what ever her name is. She made reference to the effect that Secretary rice was a "sell out", so you see, it isn't about "power" it is about how people from all over the world dis-respect America and other nations by dis-regarding those nations laws and sovereignty. Are you aware that over 40% of "latinos" in Arizona voted for a measure that would require people to show proof of residency in order to vote?..It just goes to show that it is about America and not "hispanic" desires to gain power.

what white people fare most i think is that they want be on top they wont to have the power. not so much the young generation they adapted. allot of the older generations 80s back still have that whites are superior thought in there mind.
what i see now is that change in are economic situations is worsening cheap wages do to free trade.
the older generations sold out America. so race relations will pay the price because they want shoulder the blame.
the 18 to 40 year olds are going to have allot of work to do because the 40to 80 year olds have left a big mess so. all colors and all nationality's must work together to get on track.
American is no longer on top. the only way we will be is eduction and they made that out of reach for most Americans. immigrants mostly Mexican will work the job we don't want.

I am not white, and therefore don’t feel threatened by minorities ascending the political, economic, academic and social ladder. I should go on to say that most white people, except for the few exceptionally backward and paranoid, don’t mind the prominence that minorities are finally receiving in America. I think what has a lot of people perturbed is that certain ethnic groups, without mentioning any names, have caused the marked increase in crime and the exploitation of the welfare state. I think most people, who are not enslaved by political correctness, can name who these ethnic groups are.

How are the catching up economically? They are catching up in pure numbers only. The only way I can see them catching up economically is because the average white, taxpaying law abiding citizen is being sucked dry to pay for these people. They are not catching up with us, they are pulling us down. Look at the welfare #'s broken down by race.....you will see what I mean.

Honestly...its probably going to be this way for a long time. It was like this a long time ago but now times are changing but the racism is still there. White people are just the same as other people, only colour divides us but I don't know when we will all realize that.

I'm more concerned about nuclear weapons at this point in history than I am about whites losing power. The US is a diverse country, and that's this country's strength. Good to see others making it here.

I totally agree with you on this!! That is what our country is all about! As my Mama always taught me "it's what's on the inside that counts" Who cares what people look like! I love that we are so diversified! I grew up in rural areas and now live in the city. I wanted my children to experience more than just one "flavor". New York City is my favorite city aside from the GREAT PITTSBURGH! You can literally visit a piece of so many different places all in one day! America isn't a "white" country, it is a FREE country!!!!

Americans are way too lazy to read their Nazi laws that allow ONLY people from certain countries to participate in the Green Card lottery.

To your question: USA is made up of different ethnicities and there are people from all over the world. Whites are worried because they are disappering fast:they rarely have more than 3 babies and more primitive cultures have over 5. That's the problem.
But unlike Europe, where each country corresponds to a specific array of phisycal characteristics and cultural elements, USA has nothing to lose. You have no ethnic culture that binds you. I agree with you, any ethnicity should be allowed to come here.
