why are 11 & 12 yr olds getting so tall?

i was helping out at a middle school and this tall guy comes up to me asking for help, im thinking hes 18 but he was 12!! I was standing next to him and I was up to his neck.... im 16 and im 5'4" hes 12 and hes was about 5'11"

genes,and these days farms are giving animals steroids then people eat them and the steroids make kids tall!

ITs just his genes, a lot of people are tall.
