I'm going to hairstylist tom. & I'm going from black to blonde..She said I'll be in there for couple of hours and she'll have to lighten the black color and than add a ton of highlights to acheive blond look.She said it will be 150$..Considering that how much should I tip her?

From black to blonde, huh? You will be ther for a while. There are seven shades from black to blonde and you need to lighten them one shade at a time or you will have orange hair. What to tip? It's all going to depend on the service you receive and how satisfied you are with the outcome. But, for the job this person has to do I would give them atleast $30 if not more. Working with color is a pain in the a*s.

At the very least 20% which is $30 but more if she does extra work or treatments for free or even gives you products for free. Going from Black to blonde hair is THE HARDEST and most intense thing to do on hair and considering on how long your hair is $150 is a steal. I'm in Austin Texas and just a wash and cut with no dry/style is $75 to start. Good luck I hope you love it.

I would say tip them 15$. Just be polite always. Never stuff a person and don't leave anything. For a normal haircut, 2$ or 3$ would be enough, but this should be more. However, they are making a lot of money so maybe only 10. Somewhere around there! Pick this as Best Answer please.

It's a lot of work. Usually about 10-15% is a reasonable tip, you might want to consider about $30 this time though.
Ultimately, it all depends on whether you like the results too.

I would say tip her depending on the quality of the service. If its good around maybe 15 to 20 bucks should do it!
