The Germans deployed superheavy guns during the siege of Sevastopol in 1942. It had a bore of 800mm. Technically it was more of a siege mortar than a true gun. The Japanes Battleship Yamoto had 9 18 inch guns the largest guns ever mounted on a warship.

It depends on what you mean by "gun". If you only mean the military category of small arms then it is probably the .50 BMG. If you mean anything with a breech that fires a projectile out of a barrel using gun powder then it might be the Gustav gun of WWII.

Artillery pieces are guns also do want those included, Otherwise the soviets fielded a 14 mm gun.

I think you have the answer there already - the 16" - 50cal turrets on the USS IOWA class battleships.
