You can best boost your immune system by eating a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegtables, dairy, whole grains and limit your fats. Drink plenty of water every day. Get about 30 minutes worth of exersize every day.
Pray to your higher power for inner peace and live a wholesome life. Dont drink, smoke or use illicit drugs. Smile often and give yourself positive re-inforcement. Think positive thoughts and do nice things for yourself even if it is just a 15 minute massage at a health club. If you have a monogomous partner, have sex routinely and share your love for one another.
Many people have ideas about taking herbs and vitamins to boost their immunity when in reality, living a clean, healthy life does more for you than anything you can swallow. It takes more than swallowing a pill to boost your immunity.

Some of the above answers are correct. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables is essential, avoid all fast foods and prepackaged foods as well. They are loaded with fat and sodium and lead to heart disease amongst a million other things.
But as for the comment about supplements, that answer is dangerously wrong. Because of the way fruits and vegetables are grown and processed these days, we absolutely do not get enough enrichment from them. Also the fact that over 85,000 chemicals have been introduced since the last war, our bodies are creating an inflammatory response. Inflammation leads to many auto-immune dysfunctions as well as heart disease. To counter-act that and remove inflammation, we need phytonutrients, flavenoids as well as polysaccharides which quickly convert your blood from acidic to alkaline. By doing this you are creating energy and balancing your immune system.
Mixed with daily exercise and a heart healthy diet, you can maintain optimal health.

I am trying to do the same thing. I do get b12 shots. I do not absorb it anymore. Shots are the only way to go. I do eat more fruits and vegetables. I have a juicer. I walk for 30 minutes a day. I take daily vitamin c, vitamin e, coral calcium and a multivitamin. I also do deep breathing exercises. I try not to so many processed foods. Hard here in the mid-west. I have read quite a few books. Decided this is a good start for me. I also talked to my oncologist. Heres to health. Good luck.
