My mom always made us put our teeth in a clear glass of water on the kitchen window sill. Then in the morning, we'd wake up & find a stack of quarters inside. For smaller teeth, it was $2 each, for our molars, it was $5- We thought it was pretty cool because we got to stack them & count it out.

The tooth fairy is a very special person, she comes to the homes of children who put their teeth under their pillow, and she replaces them with a coin of the realm, depending on how much parents can afford, (count the number of children your going too have or have got and decide that way) you've got to treat them all alike, approx 50p -£1 now a days, when she takes them she sends them too Santa's elves who use them to make the white keys of children's pianos, or keyboards.then Father Christmas will deliver them at Christmas. The tooth Fairy is also related too the New -year Fairy who comes on New years Eve with those bits that Santa forgot e.g. batteries, crayons. If you look around on grassy spaces near your home when your Children loose their teeth then you often see toadstools, which is where the tooth fairies live whilst they are collecting teeth, If you see them don't forget to say good morning,

My daughter is not old enough for the tooth fairy because she is 6 months but when she IS old enough I will be the tooth fairy because I get excited over things like that and my husband could probably care less. I plan on leaving her money, like $1 or something depending on the tooth probably.

Yes. HE does. I'm the tooth fairy in my house. I give them a buck per tooth. Then their grandmother tells the kids that the tooth fairy is cheap. Oy, vay!

The parents are the tooth fairies... If the child has been extra good lately, you can give more money. Usually the money varies from a quarter to, eh, 5 bucks.... Depending on the family funds.

I was the mother and I was the tooth fairy. I think most mom's are the tooth fairy don't you think. My daughter is 36 and back then she'd get maybe 50cents to 25cents - depending on how much I had in my coin purse. ha ha
When I was little, my mom (the tooth fairy) would give us 5cents, 10cents, 25cents (probably what ever she had in her coin purse too). Don't start them off spoiling them with $10 & $20 - it's a fricking tooth and another one will grow back in.

my kids have a little pillow with ( for the tooth fairy embroidered on it . it has a little pocket for them to put their teeth in and place under their own pillow.
in the morning (as long as they have gone straight to sleep and been good of course) the tooth fairy would exchange their teeth for a pound a tooth.

hope they grow up soon !

Not since my children outgrew losing teeth. But they would get a couple of quarters, or a dollar, depending on what the tooth fairy (me) had in her (my) wallet at the time.
