Example: My cam came with a program but it only makes movies. I use to have a program on another computer a long time ago that took pictures with my cam (cant remember its name). Is there a program i can download for free that will allow me to take pictures with my webcam?

The manual is only 12 pages long with 3 of them being in Spanish. I've read the whole thing. It only says video capture. Nothing about pictures.

I have Windows movie maker, amcap, and EZ media box 2.0. They all came with the cam but none of them take pictures. I dont want to use the print screen button. I want to actually take pictures.

Thanks!

I concur with using PrtSc button and copying the capture to some other photo editing app, even MS Paint will do. Alt+PrtSc will just capture the screen of the currently active window in Windows, so if you select the application window that displays the output of your webcam and press Alt+PrtSc, you'll have a capture of what was in that window in the clipboard.
Also I recomend using HyperCam for capture, but it ain't free.

I would say use print scrn. It is right beside F12. Use ctrl - v to paste this into MS paint and edit.
