Why is this such a rarely-seen interracial couple? Black men with white women are all over the place, not to mention just about every other combination you could imagine.
What's the deal?

(Just to be clear and avoid thread hijacking, yes, I obviously am a racist, because I am talking about race, and saying the "B" and "W" words, right?)

Whenever I see a black man with a white woman, it reminds me of this situation and depresses me, but it also makes me glad that for every black man taken, one more black woman is available!

I understand your question I'm a black woman who dates interracially and have/will date a white men. Love is love and anyone with common sense know that your heart overrules your mind. I believe that the lack of social similarities, fear of being ostracized by shallow people, stereotypes, and myths are what hinder some women and men for acting on their feelings of BWWM dating.

As for Cherry yes those statistics are true for the blacks who have a good percentage of blacks who suffer from HIV/AIDS but you have to look at what percentage and how it's contracted in those cases. Also that percentage is for the 100 percentage of AIDS cases not the entire race. As for myself I've never had any kind of sexual health crisis, std, or major health setbacks, and don't care for multiple partners. And the whole myth of black men are more endowed is ludicrous, granted all races have different common attributes but scientifically it's been proven false.

Nothing, I am a black woman with a white man and it's nothing so different than being with any other person of another ethnicity! However I must say that I did feel a little odd about it now I never think of it!!!!!! Don't believe me check out my 360 page, I am engaged and going to marry him in Feburary, we have a child together and I have been with him for 3 years! Now here is the real question, Why do black guys get so upset when they see us together..............?

Well, since men in society do most of the pursing when it comes to relationships, I guess more white men have to ask out more black women. I know a lot of white men like some black women because they talk about it.
