Sometimes babies at that age start losing baby weight, specially if they got chubby before. They start becoming more active, however check his diaper, has he been sick? How is he acting?

If everything else is normal I wouldn´t worry too much, but get him checked just to be safe.

If he was sick or teething he could have lost weight. 2 pounds in 3 months isn't that bad.....but you need to keep an eye on him...try to get him to eat more.

Another thing to think about is was he weighed on the SAME SCALE as last time?!? They do vary. I has my oldest son weighed when he was 2 months old at the DR's office and a few days later at the ER and there was about 1 pound difference.

It's normal - 7 kids, 8 grand kids- babies weight changes depending on activities, time of year. Summer- too hot to eat , winter months they tend to gain. All of us weigh more in winter than summer. I would only worry if it continues to drop. Then there is a health issue. Don't panic and try and "plump" the kid up. Fat babies are "cute" but it leads to "fat" kids and then some don't shake it off and become "fat" unhealthy adults. Not to mention the teasing and hurt feelings they will get from their peers.

Don't know, but I'm sure your doctor will find out what's up with your baby. I wish you good luck.
Ciao and take care.

first of all, how old is he? He may just be in a lull if he's at average weight for his age.
