A tiny paper mache cow with a bobbing head. It's my favorite because a friend had given it to me really randomly, it wasn't a special occasion, it was "just because". Odd, yes I know, but it reminds me that there still are great people out there whenever I've had a really crappy day.

my mp3 player. life should have a soundtrack and technology allows me to walk around with 3000 of my favorite songs on random without having to juggle and carry any other removable media storage--cds, cassettes, vinyl records etc. my wife gave it to my so it is a cherished gift of sorts. songs trigger memories, emotions and thought.
