Dear Travis, the world is so filled with such a wonderful mixture of people! Seriously. Strangely enough probably to your mind, most of them do not believe in Jesus as far as Jesus being God. You see, they have not met any human being who was a God. Further, many of them distrust things that were written in books almost 2000 years ago.

I know it seems simple to you. And yet, many people have big issues with Christianity and the kind of God Christianity represents. Jews, for example, do not believe that the Messiah has even come. I mean, their standard for the Messiah was not fulfilled by Jesus. I know, I know, your books say it was. Theirs say no. Arguing with them does not help matters.

Then there are our Muslim brothers and sisters. They believe that Jesus was a prophet and a good man. But that the revelation kept coming and God sent word down to a guy named Mohammed.

The Latter Day Saints say that Jesus came over to America and taught the Native Americans. How are you about that?

The Protestants say that Jesus had a brother named James. The Catholics say that James was just kind of a friend. That relationship was very important in early church history.

Even the word "alma" which some folks translate as "virgin" really seems to only mean "young woman" in Hebrew which casts some doubt about the virgin birth the Christians keep going on about.

Then there is the issue about evil in the world. How does one reconcil a loving and caring God with little kids getting cancer and stuff like that?

How do you reconcil Christians going to war and killing folks? Why did Jesus say "let he who does not have a sword go sell his cloak and buy one"?

So I am glad you think Jesus and the Bible are the way. Just give the rest of the world a little slack. Some day you might need that slack from the rest of the world.

BTW, "dork" is sometimes defined as "whale penis" and I am sure you don't mean that.

Peace.

The bible makes no sense. And calling me a dork isn't persuading me to become a Christian. In fact, you have further turned me away from Jesus. Congrats.

That's real nice...good way to show the love of God..maybe you should not only read the Bible, but apply the teachings to your own life...this is not how you are to win others for Christ.

I have plenty of times, dork, and I still don't believe Jesus is my lord and savior.

I'm more of a polytheistic gal than a "my savior has MPD" girl.
