What do you say to a guy you like without taking it too far and getting your heart broken?

Ok I like this guy in my culinary class and I think he knows I like him, but I can't get up the courage to talk to him, except for maybe hi and bye and of course when i thank him for helping me, but I get really shy around cute guys that I like. I want to talk to him so bad, but I don't know anything about him except his name and I don't know what I would talk to him about if I could get up the courage to talk to him. Please Help.

ok you just need to talk yourself into it but i think what would really help is knowing what to say. you say he helps you with things sometimes? well the next time he helps you ask him if he likes the class. then just go from there. ask him what other classes he likes. thn just bring up anything. for example, tell him your tired and you just want to go to sleep cause last night you stayed up late then ask him what he did last night. see? just anything. make casual convrersation then slowly ease into flirting with him within the next few times you talk.

Buck up and ask him to go to lunch, about his hobbies, practically anything to break the ice. Prolly he's just as afraid of asking you and you won't know till one of you makes the effort to get the conversation rolling. Good luck!
