It needs to be safe near a dog's eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. So don't go telling me hydrogen peroxide with baking soda, as it's not safe around eyes. My 95 pound dog got sprayed full on in the face, and boy does he and my house reek! I've had a lot of tomato juice answers, and I've tried that. The skunk shampoo's at the pet store have never worked before, but I'll see if they have newer stuff out. I got the rest of the smell gone with kitten shampoo and pert plus believe it or not, but don't trust the pert plus so close to his eyes.

Take a squirt bottle with tomato juice and squirt his face i have had to do this with puppies who got to close to a skunk I been a dog breeder & trainer of Labardors for the blind for 13 years..I tried the vinegar and lemon and it worked. I filled the tub with water and vinegar put her in it then took my pan and rinsed her again and again, getting deep into her hair. Then I shampooed her with some real good shampoo that had baking soda in it. I poured the remaining vinegar on her and rinsed and dried her really well, then sprayed the lemon juice on her.

This works better than tomato juice. Skunk spray is oil based. Use this instead. BTW if your dog got in the house with the smell on. Use ionizers to get rid of the smell. Otherwise it will take months to get rid of. Take 1 quart of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide (available from any drugstore), 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of dawn dish soap.. Mix and immediately apply to the stinky pet. Rinse thoroughly with tap water. Your dog will now not stink. Don't save this mixture only make enough to wash your dog, This solution will explode if kept in a sealed bottle.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7E4

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Try tomato juice, I have heard that it works, but you have to do it twice. Also, pet supply stores have something called Skunk Out and it is supposed to work as well. Tomato juice may sting a little but wash out right away, it should not harm.

"Skunk Off" shampoo. I had to get it through the vet, but it works, and tomato juice doesn't.

tomato juice is supposed to work, put a few drops of mineral oil in his eyes to protect them (groomers do this before bathing a dog)
you could apply the juice with a washcloth, to minimize dripping
