Islam is the fastest growing religion?

Lets see, 4 wives per husband and they have an average of 5 kids per wife. Look at the countries with the highest birth rates. They are almost all Muslim run countries. Are they trying to breed an army or are they just trying to increase the world's poverty level?

Muslims have a tradition of marrying among their cousins[considered Incest]. So imagine. And of course they consider their women as cows meant to produce a lot of children.
Yasir Arafat once said that the biggest strength of Palestinians is the womb of Muslim women. What he meant was we would overpower Jews some day in future jsut by out numbering them
And this is specially true in all 3rd world muslim countries. Check the population and know the statistics yourself.
They grow in population but does not mean they would overpower others. People living in other countries would defend their territory well.

Through history Islam has spread by the sword. The Moguls in India did just that. North Africa and large parts of Spain suffered this in the past. Africa is undergoing this in so many parts. They breed like rabbits. A Muslim family from Iran in my street is made up of 6 children, both parents and grandparents, all stuffed in a 2 bedroom house. Pakistan has been let off it's debts by the USA so many times and is still hellbent on terrorising the world. They are trying to breed and army. They do not allow birth control. Hope their practise of intermarriage causes an accumulation of faulty genes and the race dies off.

If they breed armies they get more US aid. Yes, it's the fastest growing religion in one aspect, but those numbers are misleading. A high birth rate with a high mortality rate due to various trife, does not equate to true "growth". Also, most Muslims don't have multiple wives and 5 children per.
Also, whoever said "Paganism" is the fastest growing religion (by any measure) must be high. Cite the source for that ridiculous claim.

Islam may be the fastest growing religion but based on facts of the world and religion there is no armies being built to overrun the government or other religions. Although a year ago I would have thought of things differently but I think its religion vs. capitalism. The highest birth rates are or were in catholic countries because of the view of birth control and the pope of the catholic church may be changing his view on that due to sickness .

Islam does not compel you to have 4 wives but gives a Muslim permission to have four wives. This is very physiological. Because if you analyze the aim behind it is that it will prevent you from adultry. What is happening in west even without marriage they are have multiple sexual partners. In many instances no one is sure about who is father of the child.
But you are true that Islam is fastest growing religion not by new converting to Islam but rather due to increased fertility in hte Muslim countries.

Actually you are only allowed more than one wife in islam if it is absoloutleu necessary, for example if it is a rich man who is aprached by a womens family who is living in poverty he can marry the women in order to get her out of poverty and befor he can marry a second time he must get the permission of his first wife if she is not happy with it then he must not under any circumstances get married a second time. Also he must not get married a second time if he knows he will not be able treat them fairly. It is vey very very rare that a muslim man get married more than once now not even men living in muslims countries do it

This is verse from the quran talking about polygammy i

"If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice."

Notice how Allah Almighty orders men to be either fair to their wives or never marry more than one wife.

However soon after this a new verse was released in the quran prohibiting polygammy because it soon became impossible for men to treat their wives fairly:

"Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."

Which is why polygamy is frowned upon in islam religon and culture unless it is really really necessary and theres no other option. Like i said polygamy does not take place in islam anymore.

I have lived with muslims since I was born i have never ever seen a muslim man with FOUR wives!

And yes we are trying to increase the population of muslims Specifically the (Shi'ite Ali kind).

And i would like to say if an average american man sleeps with a different woman every night then why is not okay for men to have for wives? At least when muslim men marries girls(virgins) they know who they are sleeping with unlike american men who sleep around with any kind of woman and that's why you have people infected with STD's and aids!

you really are naive about the knowledge of Islam...Islam is not the fastest growing religion because of increase birth rate but it is the fastest growing religion because of increased conversion rate of non-muslims to muslims in western countries....
and believe me no husband has 4 wives,there is nothing like that,its just as normal as you people are(1 husband having 1 wife)...
and the increased birth rate is not in any way related to religion but it is only due to illiteracy in most of those countries.
and you just answered your question...a muslim MAY have 4 wives but no one said that they have to have 4 wives or a women has to marry someone who has more wives,there is NO such thing...its the word "MAY" and specially may I add(present in Quran) is the fact that you can only have more than 1 wife IF SHE AGREES TO THAT AND IF YOU CAN BE FAIR TO ALL OF THEM,THEN ONLY CAN YOU HAVE...and believe me all of muslims have 1 wife(as is usually the case with others)...so please get a bit more information....
