Do I need to visit the police station where it was taken?

I want a copy of it because it was a funny situation. If the press can get copies of people's mug shots, why can't I?

I actually AM planning on having it framed, NoJail. :^) Although stationary is a fabulous idea.

There's usually a kiosk at the mall that will put a copy of your picture on a mug. I'd start there.

Yes, usually the local police or county sheriff can provide you a copy. You may also check the county website, some keep a database of mug shots.

Usually you need to go to the detention center you were in. Sometimes you go to the sheriff's department. Where I work we get mugshots all the time to give to our recovery agents when we need to pick up a defendant. They do not charge the bail bond companies, however, I'm sure they will have a fee for you.

I am curious, however. Are you planning on using it for your personal stationary, or maybe having it framed? Just kidding.

first off i do have to ask uhhhh why do you want a copy of your mug shot? 2nd off I would have to say you could go to the pd/sheriffs dept. and ask for it but also be prepared for an uhhhh NO answer. They do keep a file of them but for repeat offenders usually. I do think that they might ask you why you want it and if you don't give a very good reason believe it or not they can refuse to give it to you because it is now their property.

I think that if you asked for one at the police station they would give you a copy.
