Lets say someone makes up a religion. And in this religion you have to kill seven people in order to become a priest or something. Would congress have to do something about it? I mean, it IS killing. Yet it's all a part of this religion. Can congress intercede for the person getting killed?? Or do they have to step back b/c of their freedom of religion and freedom to practice it??

Just curious and unsure.....

God bless you.

LOW: I wasn't planning on making any religion like this. I'm a Christian, I wouldn't do that.

I think that anyone's freedom of religion ends when it interferes with someone else's right to live.

They would definitely be prosecuted for murder.

Before you can make a religion, you have to demonstrate your qualifications. The excepted qualifications are: walk on water, raise people from the dead and rise, three days after your death.

If you don't meet all three, Take your 'Let say....." and go back to the wood shed. One more note, you might consider before going public the next time, people normally do not put their faith or worship in, "Lets Say...."

Yes. The government must uphold the law. Killing is against the law whether or not it's a part of a religion.

thatd be intruding on those 7 peoples' right to live. once you cross the line onto other peoples' rights, the court can intervene.
