raise them, do you honestly think they can raise anything other than war and taxes? I mean look what a great job they have done balancing the budget. Do we want our children taught this type of math and logic?

Have you ever seen or heard of a honest politician?

If a woman can say "my body my choice" I think we should be able to say "my child my choice" as to how to raise them.

No I am not saying I own them but that it is my right and my responsibility to raise them. It always has been the parents job. It should remain so.

alot of people would rather have the government raise their kids.the government might do a better job than some of the parents I've seen.lack of responsibility, it makes it easy to blame someone else for a parents failure.but the gov should not have that much control.you have got to have a license to catch a fish but anyone can have kids.

***To those few who feel the government should raise our children or tell us how to?*
raise them, do you honestly think they can raise anything other than war and taxes?***

Why would some one want the government to raise their children?
Yes, the government is most adept at raising wars, taxes and their own salaries without at first getting our approval.
So, yeah it is probably not a good idea for governments to be saddled with raising our children.

***I mean look what a great job they have done balancing the budget. Do we want our children taught this type of math and logic? ***

Balance the budget,ahahahaha,that's a thought,
only.
How does this fit into religion, i must have forgot?
Thanks
Have a blessed day.

****If a woman can say "my body my choice" I think we should be able to say "my child my choice" as to how to raise them.*****

Yes, i agree.
"My child, My choose " as far as I'm concerned is sacred.
You do have these chooses and must be attentive to preserve them because the takers are active.

the government shouldnt raise our kids but it should interfere because let's be honest some parents cant raise even a dog! it should interfere when it comes to schooling and abuse...in schooling as in no home schooling, home school are good only if the kid suffer from some emotional issues or bullies and so on then home schooling is necessary...school as i said earlier is not only for education but also to teach the child at a young age how to sociolize and interact with other kids and also to give them a chance ot be more thne what they can be...and abuse well that's self explanatory..and about war and taxes...till the day you die you will have taxes, we had taxes in the days of Jesus too and about war, you are adding it because our current government is doing it...clinton didnt go into war? and about balancing budget dude, this is a freaking state! other countries have the same problem...it's not like balancing a check book, which by the way some people cannot do...my body my choice it's the owmn's body she will do what's best ofr her, your child not your choice maybe you migh tihnk you're doing what's best for the child but in some cases you're doing what's best for you...it's not only your child but his/her life...so it's not the same case at all!

Actually, I think everyone should have IQ tests before they're allowed to have babies, and then there wouldn't be so many newstories about dead children caused by ignorant parents. I don't think the government should raise kids, but who exactly do you think is gonna step in and take care of the kids stupid parents don't take care of? The kids who die because their parents are convinced God is gonna save their child so they don't take them to the hospital so the doctors, who God gave the knowledge to save the kids, could save them? So instead of saving their child, they kill them, all in the name of God. These idiots totally tick me off. They're right up there with the "the church will take care of it" stupidity that some religions use to not turn in child abusers. Child molesters not only need to be stopped, they need to go to jail for a very, very long time. The "church" is not equipped to handle criminals.

I am a christian, always have been, but honestly, some of the most ignorant parents I've ever encountered are christian. So basically, until we can use the common sense God gave us to raise our children, then I suppose we need to goverment to keep them alive. I don't know what your situation is, but from what I've seen, in very few instances have allegations of abuse and neglect been unfounded. If you're abusing or neglecting your kids, then someone needs to help them, but if you're not, I'm sorry you're going thru whatever it is you seem to be going thru.

People should not let the government or religious groups tell them what to do or how to live their lives (with of course the exception to crimes that infringe on another person's rights: murder, theft, etc.) If more people opposed oppressive governments and religious fanatics then most of our country's problems would be non-existant. I for one am my own person. I bow to no god or human. I make my own destiny!

You do not own your children.

Your children are not your property to do with as you wish.

No-one owns another person. Just like a man does NOT own his wife.
