Convergence boards are about $400, plus installation.

You can buy a new 52 projo for under $1000.

Save the money, buy a new one. You should also consider upgrading to a newer technology, like DLP or LCD projection. They are lighter, and have better pictures.

first off any moron that says you need a new convergence board is just that a moron. it needs new convergence IC's this job would cost with parts and labor about $250-$350. But seeing as this set is 15 years old I would consider buying a new one.

Big NO!! it's 15yr old tv for od sakes why would even thing that. you know technology has changed you can get something newer for a great price, get with the times.
