I came out in high school and actually became more popular for the most part. There was this one stuck up student who would actually read the bible to me saying that I am sinning. It's been 3 years since we've graduated and I recently received an email from her thanking me for helping to realize that she is a lesbian and is not committing any sins. I've seen a lot of the preps in high school have changed and don't think so highly of themselves anymore.

Three fathered children with women who now hate them and have ruined their lives. Two have killed themselves, as well they should. At least two that I know of work fast food jobs after dropping out of college. One has a kid after she screwed the entire soccer team.
Who's the b!%#h now? Just goes to show you, just because mommy and daddy have the bank, doesn't mean you're a winner. Chances are, it just means you're a loser with an expense account. Me? I was the quiet guy who was at the back of the class who read novels all day and played on a computer. Now I'm in the military with a decent career and a stable job. I may have to work for my money but it's a better way.

Funny you should ask, they are fat, ugly, and living off of their parents money. After 20 years of being out of high school, I can say that I was quite surprised to see the popular crowd at the reunion. The good looking guys back in high school are now pudgy and balding, never amounted to much as adults, and the popular girls are fat and ugly, they always thought they were too good to lift a finger. Yes, the really rich ones are still rich, thanks to their parents, but they have a life that I wouldn't want!

They probably have an income in the mid-high 6 figures living in some lavish house on the upper crust side of town upset over a scratch behind the refrigerator.

Ha! It's funny you asked. Just the other day, I saw one of the most sutck guy I went to high school with in the new paper for abusing his wife. Most of them failed out of college and working at the local wal-mart of working for the family that's because they are the only people who are willing to hire them because they can't keep a real job in the real world do the fact that they are so spoiled and have bad work ethic.

They got fat. LOL Karmic justice.
Actually, they all ended up differently. Some stayed right there in the little hick town where we grew up, and have become that town's new generation of overdressed snobs. Some are annoying yuppies who still think of themselves as "elite", while others learned a little bit about the real world, opened their minds a little bit, and are now more down-to-earth, likeable people.
Myself, I was average-to-popular but always a bit of a rebel, so I was friends with all different kinds of people and almost always had something fun to do. I do remember purposely distancing myself from stuck-up people or people I heard being really critical or mean to less-preppy people. On the one hand, I was shunning them before they could do it to me. On the other hand, it was probably the wrong way to deal with it -- it might not have made a difference, but I probably should have spoke up & pointed out that it's not right to be unkind & hurtful in order to make yourself feel superior. But high school is a cruel place, and that probably would have had little effect on the snobs other than to make them hate me.
Oh, and a few of them really did get fat or otherwise less perfect than they expected to become -- I can't help but enjoy their downfall, which is awful, but I forgive myself. ;-)

Most of the girls got fat. The men got fat and bald. I know a few who are still living at home without being able to hold a job. I guess "what goes around comes around". These people thought they were too good for everyone (they weren't even part of the popular crowd) and now they are so behind everyone else. It's so sad.
