are they now welcome in America, but those Americans who dare to oppose their invasion are not? All in order to strengthen the "binational existence with Mexico" right here in the U.S.ILLEGALS have no constitutional rights and if they're so concerned with their 'civil rights,' they should stop their illegal activities - smuggling drugs while ILLEGALLY crossing the border into the U.S. The safety of OUR border patrol agents should be the number one issue here, not coddling criminals caught in the act." the defenders of human rights that are so sympathetic for "rights" of hordes of illegal aliens that violate America are very selective when it comes to choosing whom to defend. Do you agree with this statement or disagree?

Most definitely agree ... instead of throwing our border guards in jail for defending our nation, they should be given medals ... I do think the problem on this site anyway is that those who defend illegal activity do it for a personal motive ... they can't see beyond their beloved illegal lover or husband and refuse to see the bigger picture ... I honestly do think they have an ostrich mentality of monumental proportions ... otherwise, how can ANYONE support what's going on?

And what should the Native Americans do about the illegal aliens who killed them, sold them drugs (alcohol is a drug), and otherwise destroyed their American way of Life?

The United States is a country that has been built on immigration, much of it illegal and for the continued growth and prosperity, all Americans should realize that immigrants legal and otherwise occupy a very important place in the national socio-economic fabric of the US.

Mexico and the US share a large border and have many cultural and historical similarities (especially in the SW); so the only solution is to reach some sort of accomodation or way in which these illegal immigrants can either be integrated or given more options at home.

Humans will always go to where they see a better life (Puritans and other founding fathers also) so people will always try to come to the US as long as they see or feel it has a better standard of living (get used to it). Buidling a fence won't stop it, stopping them won't end it.

As for the drugs, who buys and sells most of the stuff, Americans. If there wasn't a market they wouldn't bring it.

Yeah, too bad the only reason that all those violent, criminal, drug-dealing illegal aliens are in business is because of all the stupid, smelly, criminal, drug-using WHITE AMERICANS who just can't get enough drugs into their every day. Supply dries up where there is no demand.

Likewise, if there weren't so many lazy, shiftless, overdemanding WHITE AMERICANS who insist that they get such things as minimum wage, health care, and other labor benefits, then employers wouldn't have so many jobs to offer the illegals. Once again: where there is no demand, there is no supply.

If the US wants to stop illegal immigration, it is going to have to clean up its own house and get rid of the things that bring people here. We need to be throwing people who hire illegals into jail. One more time: if there weren't any jobs for illegals in this country, the illegals would go somewhere else.

Being interior the country illegally isn't a criminal offense. Federal regulation says that's a civil infraction. the type between a civil and criminal offense is giant. getting into the country illegally is a criminal offense. besides the shown fact that, in accordance to ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, only approximately 0.5 of the persons who're right here illegally, fairly from the Latino countries, are right here on expired visas. hence, one can't logically assume that each and each guy or woman right here illegally got here into the country illegally.

Blah, blah, blah.Again? This SAME question has basically been asked atleast 10 times already.Except it's not a question,it's a comment.Your opinion. And I am not selective.I'll defend anyone who deserves defending.I do not support illegal drugs. From anywhere or anybody.Any dealer/transporter should be incriminated and punished, illegal or not.But you are making a judgement that all illegals are criminals who smuggle drugs. And not just illegals, only Mexican illegals.Fair?No.That'd be like me saying all white americans are racist rednecks.Fair?Nope.And I'm a white american.Sooo, next question?

I personally feel that Bush et. al. are leaning toward a Big Giant 51st state or something...they're all about the 'growth' you know...
my question is, what happens when THIS 'growth' turns cancerous?

Mexico's got troubles. Becoming part of the United States won't solve those troubles. They have to do it for themselves.
AND: Mexico's got many hands to make the light work, Mexico's got MONEY(yes, they do), they've got arable land, they've got mineral resources, the one thing they're out of these days is EXCUSES...

My wife immigrated from the Philippines by marrying me. It took two years and we spent thousands of dollars to bring her to the US to start out life together. Illegal immigrants are an afront to our long struggle.

zoe, please provide the evidence that most illegal immigrants are also drug smugglers. by confounding drug smugglers with illegal immigrants, you are making inaccurate and unfair assumptions about the vast majority of illegal immigrants.

if you want to ask people their opinion about illegal aliens, then do so. if you want to ask people their opinion about drug smugglers, then do that. don't combine those two questions into one.
