get the biggest backpack you can find.

You need a school bag if you're homeschooled? That's a new one on me.

I suggest you get a bag that is big enough to carry everything. Don't worry about it matching your clothes. If people make note of that, they have way too much time on their hands.

give them a sports bag one that has a separate compartment for sports shoes
a head bag is alright because they have a few
compartments for alsorts of things
backpacks are OK as i use one which
is made by head but they are easier to open by unknown people
the bags you should choose are the ones that just go over the shoulder

It depends on how much you stuff you are going to carry in it. If you are going to carry a lot then I would go for a big one. If you carry a little bit then go for a small one.

Big~ Jansport. Small~Levi carry all. I use my Levi carry all for my attorney work. I get tired of all those leather, dull suitcases that look worn to oblivion.

Backpack or something with wheels, they usually like that and makes going to school fun... for a while!!!

ask them to go w/ you and give them a price range let them pick and if they pick cheaper than your range let them keep the money or buy a little snack for the two of you its totally bonding time
