Since they are pretty common, use the excuse of having a horrible migraine. Here are my two that I've used:
1. I would say that I had been in the bathroom getting sick to my stomach all night & still didn't feel good.
2. There was a monday I called in cause I didnt want to go to work & risk crying all day since my bf had just broken up w/ me the day before so I called in & said that I had been out in the heat all day the day before helping my mom & that I had a horrible heat headache & was getting sick all night.
The trick is to NOT call in on a monday or friday because it makes the employer more suspicious that maybe you're just trying to extend your weekend.

I used my son had chicken pox about 3 times (different jobs of course) but I worked in a pharmacy so unless my head fell off there really wasnt anything I could say that the pharmacist couldnt fix.

Just call in and say you're not feeling well. Don't give em an exact reason right then, just think of by the time you get to work the next day.
