Its a vicious circle this no sleep thing, you don't sleep and every worry seems a hundred times bigger, your bigger worries stop you from sleeping. I know this might sound daft but it does work, picture locking one of your worries in a cupboard and lock the door, again another worry in another cuboard etc. etc. Until they are all locked away, the doors not to be opened, when they do creep out.. which they do, just lock them up again out of the way.
Obviously if you have major worries that need sorting out please speak to someone your mum perhaps, you might not believe it but us mums do listen and try and help. Take care of yourself and do try it.

What has helped me in my life is prayer and meditation. Especially the meditation! It is the best stress reducer EVER! It's good to know that we are never alone in our worries. There is an entire unseen world out there that is loving us and watching over us. By prayer and meditation, you tap into those extra helpers. You should go look for a simple book about meditation- I think they even have an idiots guide - to find a technique that works for you. For me, I do 2 different things, depending on my mood- One thing I do is take a hot bath before bed- during this time, i light candles, listen to peaceful music and just relax- let everything go and meditate- This is when I get my best answers and relief. Another thing is simply when I'm lying down in bed trying to fall asleep- this is when I'll do my meditation- but I usually end up falling asleep. Either way- you must put aside a time for yourself- even if only 10 minutes. There is no sense in worrying about things in life- Everything that happens is meant to happen- just go with the flow of life. You will be Great! So go to the library and find a good book on meditation or Yoga and start studying it. I personally like Meditaions by Sylvia Browne or anything by Doreen Virtue has really helped me. One more thing, make sure you are not taking in too much caffeineor sugar at night- that will keep you from sleeping. When thinga come up, just stop and take some deep breaths- Everything will be f ine!

Find a time when you have complete silence and can get your thought togeather. Sit down somewhere peaceful and turn off your cell phone (no distractions).
Grab some paper and a writing untensil and list all of the things that are on your mind today and the things that are constantly on your mind.
Now take that list and devide it into two columns:
One column should be the things that you have control over or things that you can get done and off the list. In the other column put those things that are out of your control or that you really don't have any way to resolve on your own.
The reason I say this is because we all spend too much time constantly worrying about things that are completely out of our control. The things that we cannot control will still be there, but we can find a way to seperate these things and learn to work around them so we can focus on the things that we can control or change or get done and cross off the list.
It really does work and at your age you really have alot of things going on (been there, done that).
I am 46 years old and still make these lists because they allow me to focus on the things that I can actually make progress on.
Good luck and don't worry - you'll be OK !!!!!

15 years old is a little young to be having such anxiety. Maybe try talking to a close friend or relative about some of your worries and they can help you with some specific problems. You can try writing all your problems down on a piece of paper and looking at them, maybe a positives and negatives column. By doing this your problems have been transferred from your head to the paper so you can clear your head a little and conquer things individually instead of constantly thinking about everything.

Well, depending on what kinds of things you're worrying about, I think the best thing to do is to organize your thoughts by listing all your worries in order of importance and planning out how you can tackle them. It will help you to feel more in control of the situation, and at least have a plan of how you can resolve the issues. In the meantime, I find that working out everyday really helps relieve stress because it takes your mind off of the worries for a while, and helps put things in perspective. Also, it is proven to reduce depression (part of worrying) and will help you feel tired enough to sleep at night!

St. Johns wort is an herbal supplement that helps calm you down naturally. Also go to bed early and read books or magazines to help you relax before falling asleep. As far as too much on your mind make a list of all the things you need to do whether its for school or whatever is keeping you from being able to focus. Make your priorities and as you end each task cross it off the list. Somehow it doesn't look so impossible when its on paper. : - )

I have a tendency toward the same problems. I actually find relief from running - its difficult for me to think when I'm concentrating on breathing. I also like putting things in lists, and marking them off as I go, or as they resolve themselves. When I'm lying in bed at night, obsessing about something - I try to tell myself - I'll worry about it tomorrow. After all, there is nothing you can do about it when lying in bed. If your problems persist, you might want to see a doctor. Despite the note above, there are several medications that might be appropriate.

Most of the above is pretty good advice---Go for a nice walk after dinner, a 1/2 hour should do. Fresh air, exercise, that will help clear your head so you can have sweet dreams and uninterrupted sleep.
I also suggest valerian root or melatonin as a non-prescrip sleep aid.

Hi. When I have problems that I can't stop thinking about, I usually take a piece of paper and write down anything that comes into my mind. Anything at all. It may seem stupid at first, but it will help your thoughts and feelings to come out of your head, and onto paper, instead.
Try it. That's what I do, and it helps a lot.
