The best advice I can offer is not to get worked up about what other people think. People will have opinions, some good, some bad. You can never please everyone. Also, you have to learn to be flexible. You are probably at very different stages in your lives, but this needn't be insurmountable. Check out agelesslove.com for some great advice. Good luck.

I'm not in an relationship like that, but I am a child of one. My parents have a large age difference about as equal as yours.

The biggest challenge (IMO), is for the younger person. As the elder person in the relationship ages, priorities seem to change.

In my parents example, my mother's lifestyle changed earlier then what would be normally expected. As my father aged, her interests and activites shaped to meet his.

They kept an open mind, and both were willing to change to meet each others needs. They have been together for over thirty years, they went into the relationship aware of the age difference, and possible problems it could cause. Communication was, and is their answer.

I am 60, my girlfriend is 22
We have been together for 5 years now
I often wondered what she saw in me, but we get on fine, she wants a child but I am unable to perform, she nags me about it
She shares all the x's and pays for one holiday a year and I pay for the other two hols
I am not sure how long it will last, but have not included her in my will yet
But its fun, frolics and laughter most of the time
You should see how people look at us when we are canoodling in Weatherspoons up the corner
Some of my mates are jealous too
Have fun whilst it last
You are a long time dead

My ex-partner was 24 years older than me. I'm 35 he was 59. We had no problems, it was everyone else who did. Just keep the love and passion going in your life and remember to say I love you every day.

Age is a state of mind and it doesn't matter. Just enjoy life on a daily basis to the best of your ability. Don't try to please the rest of the world or you will be miserable.
