Not Egypt (gippy tums guaranteed).
Not Cuba, unless they like cheese with jam for breakfast.
Maldives are boring unless they dive a lot.
Mexico I didn't stop for long, so can't comment.
I suggest a river cruise on the Duoro in Portugal. Voyages Jules Verne do a good one. Your budget will cover it.

that's such a great idea. My advice would be to go have a chat with a travel agent, they'll probably have dealt with similar cases. Definitely have a good think about the kind of holidays they enjoy, but remember to include something a bit romantic and special, maybe a luxury room for the actual night of their anniversary. if the holiday is to be a surprise, make sure they already have clothes suitable for the climate, you don't want to send them somewhere cold if they have lots of shorts with no time to buy before they fly! Maybe if you have a sibling, or friends of your parents that would be buying them a gift, they could pitch in. But as i said, your local travel agent will be full of advice. good luck!

Santorini island, Aegean, Greece. Unique destination! Send them for a (second) honeymoon! Santorini is an amazing , volcano island. Unforgettable place! Many people for all the world go there for their wedding or honeymoon. It's a place for people who are in love! Sun, good food, clubing, romance, culture in the same package! They love it! See the links (you can also find booking offers there)

Maybe dropping some hints in a conversation would be a possible way of knowing what they would like to go on holiday. They may mension a place that then will give you a rough idea of where to go.

Just wanted to say - that is such a lovely idea.
I hope my kids will think of that for me one day!!!
Depends on what your parents tastes are. Do they like the sun? Or prefer culture? Or both?
You could sound them out a bit by talking about holidays.....
Good luck, I'm sure they will be very happy.
