Hi, I am new to this yahoo answers/questions. I was just browsing some resolved questions and I saw a lot of abortion questions. I was reading an answer that was like an essay that a woman wrote supporting abortion and she had a second trimester abortion and said no big deal. If people saw the photos of aborted fetuses would they change their mind? When I was 17 weeks pregnant I was in a car accident and lost my son. I named him Daniel Patrick and the nurses put him in a blanket and I held him and held him. We buried him next to my mom and we dressed him in a tiny preemie sailor suit as my husband was in the navy at the time. How can people say it is just a piece of flesh with no feeling. He was a beautiful human being, not just a nothing. He was a real little person. How can they say it does not matter and only the mother matters. Why do they have no rights?

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I know what you are going through I had a m/c at 16 weeks. And I needed a D&C. I never got the chance to hold my baby. I am pro choice because I can't tell someone else what is right or wrong for them. I can only control what happens in my life. Yes it is wrong to wait to the second trimester. Yes it is wrong to use abortions are birth control. So people just choose to not feel it makes the mcope better. I personally wouldn't get an abortion unless my life depended on it. But who am I to judge others for what they do. There are already children here without homes, straving, and who are in abusive homes because their parent(s) didn't want them. It is horrible want is done to the little baby during an abortion yes but it could be worse if they had of lived.

If it could be my way then it would be mandatory for women who don't want to get pregnant to use birth control and abortion would never be a issue. It more easier to take a pill, patch, IUD, etc... everyday then to get that procedure done.

Because some people have no souls or conscience. I just had a baby a month ago. When I first found out I was pregnant I was a little upset because I already had a baby (shes 19 mons now) and I'm kinda young. I didn't think that I would be able to handle two kids and accomplish all my goals. I even had an appointment to get the abortion, but when me and my boyfriend got up that morning it just didn't feel right. I knew I couldn't live with my self if I went through with it. Here I was thinking of terminating my pregnancy when there are people out there who can't have kids. I prayed to god and asked him to let everything workout. I had the baby and I can't imagine her not being here now. Everything worked out great and It's no where near as hard as I thought it would be having two babies. I am so happy with my decision now. I had to put some of my dreams on hold, but that's just it their only on hold, not completely gone and for gotten about, and my kids are well worth it. My goals are still very attainable. I can't believe what I almost did and I'm happy I didn't.

<< If people saw the photos of aborted fetuses would they change their mind?>> No. I have always been pro choice, I was before my late term abortion (mine was labor and delivery and I SAW the fetus) and I have been since. An unborn fetus does not have legal rights until it is born. It is not a baby until it is born. The mother HAS to matter because it is HER body the fetus is living off of. Would you force someone to have another human being attached to their blood supply just so that human being could remain alive? Would YOU want someone else attached to you living off of YOUR body? Do you think that is fair? Besides in some cases (such as mine) the abortion is what kept me alive and allowed me to go on marry someone else and have a child later on. If I didn't have that abortion to begin with I would have been beaten to death (which is what put me in the position of having to make the decision to abort) and never been able to go on and have the child (now 20 years old) that I have today...that one abortion saved two lives...so which matters the one life or the two?

im so sorry for your loss.I went through that 3 times before i actually carried one to full term.alot of people use abortion as birth control which is sad.I am so against abortion and i think it should be illegal to me thats murder. If you dont want a child take precautions. It never asked to be conceived. And if you dont want the baby there are plenty of people that cant have children that would love the baby so put it up for adoption there are definitly other ways.I just read on here about a 13 year old girl thats having an abortion it is very sad.I think babys have feelings and it is a life the moment it is conceived i just wish more people thought that way.

I dont know but I agree it is truly sad, i am sorry for your loss of course those are babies if it was just harmless flesh there whould be no need to destroy it! It is sad and disturbing what is even more disturbing is the woman who wrote that has a child!!If they saw the photos they would probably convince themselves they were fake anything to get away from the guilt and responsibility. God Bless!!

I agree that it is awful to have an abortion.

But I also believe in choice.

Yeah, I think it's wrong. But I also think it's wrong that the government have enough power to control a person's body.

Besides, if the government banned it, the practice would still continue, except it would be much less safe. You'd see peopple trying to do it in their apartment with coathangers. It'd me a major health catastrophie.

It's tough. I really have conflicting thoughts on this one.

Because its easier for them to throw that life away. They think its their choice just because this tiny person is depending on them for life for 9 months. It is wrong. And you'll have to excuse me if I think there is a bit of justice when women have abortions, then find out later they can no longer bear children. Each life is a wonderful blessing, even if the timing is bad or the baby interferes with the mother's plans. Sex equals baby. Period. Why play roulette with your own life or a child's?

I do not know why there is so many abortions. People need to realize they need to be responsible when having sex and always remember that sex leads to babies but those people do not care, all they care about is themselves and their personal pleasures.

I am sorry for your loss. Children are wonderful before birth and after and so many of them get abused before birth and after, people who abort a child before birth are selfish, people who throw a baby in the trash after birth are selfish and those who abuse children are selfish and those types of people do not deserve to procreate. That is how I see it.
