Merry Meet!
I grew up in a Strict Xtian home. It seems my questions were never answered! I still wonder why Adam and Eve were to be the first, yet there was a city near by. Why the Catholics in putting the Bible together, could'nt even get it in the right order as the so called "books" were written. It first says someone had seen God, then later, No one had seen God. I've heard a different story form all walks of life! Every kind of Religion of Xtians there are about the Bible. One verse means something to one kind, and another meaning to another kind of church. Such as what is Baptism for! They all will tell you different things, depending on what Church they go to.
So instead of asking these people, whom all have different Churches and ideas, look to what you know as the truth. Do not battle in your mind or heart because others have confused you more or added more bunk to your searching. Do not doubt yourself. That is how others effect you. Remain on your path and goodness. If a God or Goddess were to tell you anything, you think they would say to read alot of scripture, and books to find yourself? Or rather look to yourself on how you live, how you feel, and what you think? Then act accordingly. We all know the difference of right and wrong. Unless one has a mental condititon. So who is anyone to say you are right or wrong. We are mearly people no matter what walk /path of life we are on. Who is anyone to tell you what to do? Are they more important to you, their thoughts? Or is yours?
So I will not debate the truth. For truth is of the individual giving and recieving the message. I think and feel you know already, and this is why you asked this question. :)
BTW, here is the link to the yahoo group you were wondering about in another question that has been closed. If you choose to come, you are welcome! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Witchcraft_/
Blessed Be, Tesra
PS, If you really want a book of Cunningham, I can get ya one for as cheap as I can find one!, come see me friend.. http://www.tesrasmagickcauldron.com
And please, no comments from anyone else on my beliefs, have some respect....

Compare Scripture to scripture, The Bible is very Good at reasserting the the same lesson time and again throughout the Old Testament and New Testament. The Books of Daniel,Isiah, Jeremiah, Habakkuk and Revelations have many ties to each other. Remember the Old Testament books Are Jewish Books, But are also Held in Esteem by Christians. But no one that reads the bible will force you to believe. You read the word and you will know Truth, And the Truth will set you free. Look for truth Not Truthiness ( where a statement sound true) And you will know Truth when you see it.

y should u believe? u must know but i think u made ur choice. now u jus have to live with it. i personally don't believe much of what is written in the Bible. not that i don't believe in God, i do. i just don't trust that the men who translated the books and put them in one big book - i.e. the bible, can be trusted.

i do believe that the Holy Quran has not been tampered with, it speaks the Truth.

by the way - John wrote the book supposedly 60 years after Jesus died. it was the first Gospel and also the most contradictory. he claims that he had a vision from God about the Revelations!!!

how can one believe him. there is so much untruth in Christian History that Christians themselves do not know what exactly there belief is based on.

the Holy Quran on the other hand is clear, precise and uncontradictory.

So you think after Jesus there could be no more prophets? Why is that? The John who wrote Revelation was most probably not the disciple, but its possible, but that doesn't make His book any less relevant. He was exiled in patmos for being christian, and while there he received this vision, Revelation, and wrote it down.

As for the rapture, its says of the two women in the field, that in the blink of an eye, one will be gone. Where does it say who'll be gone, the good or the evil woman? It doesn't say, but the book of Enoch says that the one that is taken is the evil one, and the good one stays for the 1,000 year reign of Christ. So I think its possible our rapture theory is a bit backwards.

You are correct; THERE WILL BE NO RAPTURE! It is NOT taught anywhere in the Bible. What is taught is that Jesus IS going to come, visually and audibly, ALL will see Him and hear Him AT THE SAME TIME. You can believe the book of Revelation, written by the Apostle John about 90 ad.. Jesus was killed around 30 ad. so John wrote about 60 years latter.

This is not true. No one knows when this book was written and how long after Jesus death. Christ will return prior (pre) to the millennium, understood as a literal thousand-yr period, and prior to the seven yr period, known as the great tribulation (Dan 9:27;Rev. 7:14; 11:2) Christ will come secretly (The Rapture) for the church and then publicly with his church to institute the millennial kingdom. The church will not go thru the tribulation period.

I think we knew son. I thought it was a lot more than 80.ahhh!
rapture is what do on friday night (weekend!!) see that's easy
I say YES! well only if you think you should.:)
They are good words, but ment to controll 'really' dumb people, who were afraid of dying, even question the books, much less read them.
PS have you ever really heard of anyone who has heard GOD speak except from books. As I remember God never spoke to John Smith Just an angel (peote?)

There's a big difference between the words "written," "compiled," and "published." Just because revalations may not have become public knowledge for 80 years doesn't mean it wasn't written for 80 years. There are simply insufficient facts for accurate dating of revalations.

Even when I was a Christian the book of revelations sounded crazy. I could never figure out why it was in there. Now I realize the whole thing was put together by humans with an agenda.

Its been known for years that the John of Revelations might not be the disciple. The question, as always, is does it project a vision of God that is consistent with the rest of His revealled Word? If you are looking for authorship as your safety net, you will forever be disappointed. The "holyness" is always what is being said, not who is saying it.
