I feel bad for the wee creatures who had to make it across the oceans to avoid the flood.

I imagine it was very difficult for them to know that all those foolish people who refused to listen to Noah were dying outside the safety of the ark. If only they had paid attention. It is hard to imagine that there were so many wicked people on the earth, but the world today is not much better. The Bible says that the road leading to life is very narrow and the road leading to destruction is broad and spacious. How true that is. Christians are a small minority in these "last days."

Probably the hardest part for Noah and family was the sad realization that everything and everyone they knew no longer existed. That and hearing the cries at the door after it was shut.

As for the animals, I'd imagine there was some significant sea sickness to deal with!

They didn't suffer, they were in God's hands. The ones to feel sorry for where the ones who didn't heed God's Word and listen to Noah.

The only one to suffer was the cat. The cat is NOT mentioned in the Bible and there is no refrence to a cat being on the ark.

The cat either treaded water for the 40 days and 40 nights OR it is truly the spawn of Satan.

I would say the hardest part would have been keeping the animals from trying to eat each other. I mean, lions and zebras on the same boat....those lions had to be licking their chops....
