My left eye has been twitching for over a month now. I also get an intermittent stabbling pain in that eye that leaves me with a feeling of pressure behind the eye that stays for the rest of the day. I also had a bleed in this eye after a hard sneeze, which cleared up within a few days, but the symptoms I'm describing had been going on before this. I am planning on having it looked at, but would like to know if anyone has had these things and what it turned out to be after seeing their doc and/or if the symptoms just finally went away. SO, lite twitching, stabbing pains and pressure behind the eye. Any answers?

I should add that I do get migraines, (mostly hormona) but surprisingly, have NOT had any associated with this eye problem. Just for background info,I have hashimoto's thyroidtis and fibro, auto immune syndrome with all kinds of unusual things, many having to do with inflamation of some kind or another that crop up and then leave as quickly as they came ( ex: my gums swell up for no reason and after a days they go back to normal. same with glands under jaw) I'm also in peri-menopause and these symptoms can be confused with thyroid symptoms as well. No one knows what to do with me, including me!

Could be anything
Migraines, tumor, Giant cell arteritis (vascular inflammation that occurs in the elderly, can lead to blindness), MS (doubt), diseases of the eye itself, other less common muscular diseases (also doubt.) Definitely follow up seeing the doc.
