In Genesis when God created Adam he became a living soul.(Gen.2:7)Also,in the Bible, animals are called souls.
The soul is not immortal--that is a false teaching that is found nowhere in the Scriptures. At ezekial 18:4 it tells us that "the soul that is sinning,it shall die." In the book of Acts it tells us: "And it shall come to pass, that every soul which will not hear the Prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people." (Acts 3:23)
When a soul(person) dies, they return to the dust ,awaiting a resurrection to either life in heaven or to life on a paradise earth.

Your soul and spirit is in the power of your brain which controls all of you and everything you do or think. All you have to do is make sure you keep your soul in good working order. You already know the difference between right and wrong and between love and hate. Don't worry so much! Best wishes.

The soul/spirit is the human attempt to come to grips with it's own mortality. Nothing frightens a human more than it's own death, and so the soul/spirit was invented as a way for us to believe that there is a part of us that continues after we die. This makes the thought of death less terrifying to us. This belief that part of us continues after death is the basic starting point of all religious belief and the main motivating factor for religion in general. As to where the soul exists, it exists in the human mind and imagination.

The soul and the spirit are two different things. The untechnical answer is your soul is your mind, and your spirit is your heart.

I believe that it is the actual life force from God. Spirit is another word for breath, and God breathed life into us. Because it is spirit, it has no physical characteristics other than abiding in our bodies giving us life. The Bible says that when the body dies the spirit retuns to the Father.

Have you ever seen an animal or someone you know die before your eyes? Supossedly eyes are the window to the soul and when the person dies there eyes are still open but there is a blankness in them.

The soul or spirit is your aura, the energy that fuels your life. It makes your presence known when you walk in a room. It is meant to surround you and touch certain people.

well, we know that if we knew exactly where it was we can surgucally remove it , right? Think of it as attached to every atom of your body(maybe or maybe not). A superporous entity that inhabits our innards so well that when our body dies it leaves no impression it was there. One thing for sure GOD put it there and HE takes it away when He gets ready!
