I work for an optometrist's office and let me just say from experience that it's not always the office's fault. A lot of problems arise from the labs that make the actual lenses. They could've come in with a scratch on them, your prescription may not have been right... numerous problems can (and usually do) arise. When a patient orders glasses, we tell them that it usually takes about a week, barring no complications. I would just talk to the opticians at your optometrists office and see if they know what the hold up might be. They can call the lab that's making your glasses and find out what (if any) problems might be. Hope I helped!

Yes, I would be mad, I worked for Lenscrafter and if we promised a certain time and date, we had to make sure the glasses were done. I would explain the importance and that since they were late, you want some type of discount !!
Good Luck

you cant be mad at the place you ordered them at, how do you know that the are the ones who are responsible for them not being there on time...it could be the people who make them who ran into a problem. You need to be patient, you dont know if there was an emergency...how would you feel if you needed to have a pasta made by lets say thursday and then you aunt died so you didnt get it made on time and then people came up to you and started bitching at you...you would probably be like well screw you.

Sometimes it is out of their control...especially if they don't have an on site lab. You have to take into consideration that things may be on back order or it could just be the mail. I would call them to make sure they just haven't overlooked calling you, or that they have your information down correctly.

I'd definately be annoyed... but there isn't much you can do. Most likely, raising hell won't help, but you should call them and try to find out exactly when they'll be in... and tell them your situation. (That you need them for school). Also, never get glasses from that place again, they are unreliable.

The tech or clerk probably told you that to get you out of his/her face. You may have been asking too many questions....Call and ask for the manager on duty and tell them your situation....
Wait until they call you and do not be a repeat costumer.

Chill out little lady, I live in Perth Australia which is about the same size as the village in the 'Deliverance' movie - HERE we are blessed if they can process your order one month late.

Go in and complain...take one of your parents with too...Sometimes people listen to older people more. If that doesn't work file a complaint with corporate. Tell them that they were rude and that the service was horrible...
