It depends where you live. In most states of the USA the age of consent is 16, but many states have "Romeo & Juliet" laws which exempt kids under age being prosecuted if their ages are close to the same, and some other states will not prosecute if the couple gets married (there was a big stink recently in Kansas with about a pregnant 13 year old girl whose lover, who married her, was I think 23). In the country where I live the age of consent is 14 if you have sex with someone that age or older, but its 12 if both partners are between their 12th and 14th birthdays. I think the age of consent is 14 also in most western countries. Like the drinking age, the USA's regular age of consent is about the highest in the world.

It was consentual and neither of you are of the legal age for it to be illegal. If he was 18, you'd be in trouble! Just make sure you use protection, not only are you at risk for getting pregnant, there are so many STD's out there, it's not even funny! Listen, I worked in Public Health in the Air Force and gave STD interviews...even though you can treat some, others have NO CURE!!! Be careful. Always practice safe sex until you're married.

No, It's not illegal but It's not a good idea to be having sex at such a young age. Have you thought about what you'll do if you get pregnant? You need to think about that. Wait until your older, more mature, and able to handle the consequences of your actions.

If you think you're old enough to be having sex then you better be responsible enough to deal with any consequences, like pregnancy or STD's. Learn to protect yourself.
And yes, your boyfriend by law is commiting statutory rape, and if convicted, may have to register as a sex offender anywhere he goes for the rest of his life. Try thinking with your head instead of your crotch.
