I have long thick straight hair and i curl it everyday with hot rollers, I usually put Garnier Fructis "Surf Hair" in my hair when i get out of the shower and letthat dry in it , and it haelps my hair maintain curl, But i was wondering if there was another product that does a better job.

You should try a shampoo that curls your hair!! trust me it really works!!! THE BEST BRAND IS GOT2B CURLY GIRL!!!! i use it, the shampoo works as soon as it dries and the gel that you can get is amazing!!
i use it all the time!!! My friend has dead strait hair with no volume AT ALL!!! She put just a bit of my gel in her hair, combed it through, and it curled within 10 mins and in 30 mins is was complete curls!!! because its gel, it stays in place so you dint have to worry about hairspray!! to even pump your curls to the max curl your hair too!!
It is amazing stuff and i completely recommend it!!!

Go with Aussie Sprunch Spray!
Smells amazing and will give you great curls that can be scrunched and shaped. I use it in my hair out of the shower, have great Botticelli curls all day (even though I only have naturally wavy hair) and then put it in a big fat braid to sleep and when I wake up the next day, my hair has long, soft waves that look great! Two days on one product!
I also use some sort of gel or leave-in conditioner or whatever first to keep my hair soft and pretty :)
A warning, though, it is a little sticky on your hands afterwards!

Yeah there are all sorts of shampoos and conditioners that help make sure your hair is curly just watch tv and look for the advertisments there thats where I always see them or you could look in the grocery store in the shampoo aile trust me you'll find whats best for you!

Pantene has a lot of curl enhancing hair products. I use it on my naturally curly hair and it seems to work great.

I cant really say. My hair is naturally curly. I wear mousse and pomade to define the curls and give it more volume...

this might not help. I don't know much about hair products but as a friend I will tell you did you try hair spray? moose? moose sometimes works.
