That's a huge turn-off. That means everytime that person looks at there tattoo they begin to think about them and what could have been or why in the hell they were with them. But it will cause conflict because that person may take there frustrations out on the other person.

Hey, at the time it probably seemd like forever. You put down your quarter and take your chances, you live life. What happened in the past should remain just that - the past. it can't be relived or changed. You have one too, you just don't have a tattoo to commerate it. It's not like buying a new car no one else has driven. Maybe if you're "the one" the tat will be changed.

It would be a turn off, but the tattoo is a thing of their past. If i was sure that nothing was going to happen between them and their ex... there would be nothing to worry about. I would urge them to get it covered up.

It is a big deal, but it wouldnt make me run the other way. You can always have it removed if things get more serious. Dont let that be the only reason you end a relationship.

The person must have been someone special to get marred for life with a stencil. If we were going together for a long enough time, I would ask them to have the name removed.

Well that is hard to say.. is it somewhere that everyone can see it..like on the arm.. I have a jap tat on my ankle it says married woman.. I got it on my honeymoon with my husband at the time.. good thing is if you saw it you wouldn't know what it means.. but I don't think it bothers my new boyfriend. he knows what it means.. I just think he need to mary me and it is still making it meaning..lol
but it has to mean nothing to the person who has the tat.. if that person is still in love withthe other then yeaH... move on
good luck

Well, maybe he/she thought it was going to be "forever". You can always have something put over it. I wouldn't automaticlly call it off, but if we got serious, I would want him to cover it up.
