So, I have been dating this guy for not even a month and I already have people coming up to me and asking if we have used the "L" word. I know I'm not ready yet but it made me curious... how long do most wait or think you should wait before saying "I Love You?"

I've been dating my boyfriend for 4 months, and we don't use it. It just shows you're more mature and that you take that word seriously. It will mean more if/when you do say it.

For some people those three magic words are very special and should not be taken lightly. If you know you are in love than just say it. But since you are not ready you should wait. If he drops the words first, then explain that you are not ready to commit on that level yet!

I have a very good guy friend, not dating but super good friends. We waited to say we loved one another til we'd known one another about a year, and it was well worth the wait, I had no doubts at all that he meant it and I still cherish the memory of "finding out for sure".

dont say I love you unless you mean it for life it not something you say b/c others thinks it s time to its something from the heart and it means you are ready to put that person 1st in your life and look to the future the word love is used to readily these days people say i lve yu after meeting a person go figure if you say it too soon then what when you realize that you dont? i met my husband in dec we started dating in july he asked me to marry him 2 wks later and oh yeah he said i love you we were married the following may and we are looking at our 29 th anniversary next may and i still love him more tha life it self and he never lets a day go by w/o tell me he loves me several times during theday he will call and say got a mint wanted to see how u were and to tell you that i love you later bye babe so just mean it b/f you say it cauz its a life long thing

You should wait until 39 weeks have passed from your first date before saying that.

Saying i love you can be said at anytime in the relationship, meaning it is a totally different thing. Unfortunately there are so many people out there that do not know the difference.

There is no formula for love. Some people fall quickly, others fall slower.

Wait until this guy tells you he loves you, then smile and say "I know."

if u dont think that u love him why are you dating him anyway?? If i didnt LOVE him i wouldnt have gone out with him so if your not ready then you should end this relationship now before your in too deep!

You know I can't say there is no certain time limit for u to use the "L" word. I would say it's what you feel r don't feel for him. That's really up to u to decide not your friends.
